Plot:
De
onderzoeken van hoofdinspecteur Foyle worden in de TV serie gevolgd.
Afgewezen om actief deel te nemen aan de
oorlogshandelingen wordt Foyle dagelijks met de duistere praktijken er van geconfronteerd.
Met zijn chauffeur Sam
en zijn ondergeschikte Paul Milner onderzoekt Foyle moorden, diefstal en bedrog, oorlogsmisdaden, misdaden uit
hartstocht en misdaden uit hebzucht omdat misdaden in het algemeen niet ophouden in oorlogstijd.

het huis van een vriend worden de lichamen van een zelfmoordenaar en een Duitse agent vlak bij het huis gevonden aan het
strand bij Hastings.
Een Amerikaanse multi-millionaire, een oude vlam van Foyle en een mysterieuze man die beweerd
een Nederlandse vluchteling te zijn lijken bij de misdaden betrokken. 
Het huis van Sam is tijdens een bombardement
vernield en zij zoekt nu een plek om te wonen.

live after her home is destroyed in a bombing raid.
